Skydiving

If are you reading this message it means i didn't die!

The bus picked me up from under the Sydney centrepoint the tallest building in Sydney but where i was heading was a whole load higher than that wee thing. we drove about an hour out of sydney not sure i was asleep and then we signed loads of forms basically saying we were fit enough to fall out of a plane and that we wouldn't sue if we died or something. we got to the drop zone and went through our briefing qo seconds long no lie. cross your arms put your head back then when you feel a tap on your shopulder go crazy. Jumped back in the van and headed to the airport.

i was on the 2nd load to fly so watched while the first guys got suited up and then the airplane came round the corner, looking kind of like an old red metal shed with a propeller and no door, the kind of plane you would probly check you had a parachute before boarding but i spose perfect for falling out of.

the plane comes back off "dropping off" the first 2 and me and a columbian guy and his duaghter jump in with our instructors quite a squash with the 6 of us and parachutes and the plane takes off and we slowly begin to rise. in the distanbce we can see the harbour bridge and skyscrapers of sydney and then we hit the clouds which meand you cant see a thing until a few minutes later we pop out of the clouds into the beautiful blue sky above the soft fluffy looking clouds below it was absolutely amazing to enjoy. i asked how high the clouds we just passed through were and tehy were at 4000 feet not that high as we have to get to between 11 and 14 thousand to jump.

so we keep on climbing and i start to wonder why i am not more worried as i enjoy looking out above the clouds sure taht my excitement will turn to fear before i jump. so the pilot shouts 1 mile and we begin to get into our positions and out goes sergio followed by Maria and now its me so i hang my legs over the edge cross my arms and take a deep bre........., and before i manage to even think about being scared we're falling, no warning, no time to take a breath or get scared it seemed to come so fast and as soon as we fall out the plane i just have the biggest grin on my face waitingfor the tap on my shoulder. the clouds then begin to come around us and before i no it whhhooom the parachute opens and i just feel like i'm stationary just sitting in the air. on the way down i have a little play with the controls and spin us round a couple of times, then we float in over the water and feet up in the air slide onto the grass.

the whole ride was amazing and if it werent so expensive i would do it all the time but for me it was the initial fall out of the plane that was the best i have never felt such speed and such excitement. when we all got back down it was so weird all watching ourselves back together as our videos were shown on a big screen. then as everyone started to leave after being through something like that together it felt like you were saying goodbye to old friends.

so who's up for joining me next time anyone tempted?
